A week in California

I’ve now been in California for almost a week. When I arrived, it started with some drama free drama at the airport. The whole airport in Los Angeles was on lockdown hence to a bomb threat just outside the building.

I had this luxury on my first flight from Bergen to London.

Luckily it all went good and I met up with my buddy and we went straight to a concert with Zac Brown Band. It was one amazing show, and good times with friends before the one hour drive home was next in line. And I literally could not stay awake anymore. Which is understandable after 2 hours of sleep and then that I had been awake for the past 26/27 hours.

Besides some small adventures in between, I have relaxed as much as possible. Caught up with sleep and hung out with awesome people. On Tuesday I celebrated Halloween for the first time in my life, which was pretty cool. With a group of animals, literally, haha.

On Friday we had an amazing sunset. I went in to the town San Clemente to hang out at my buddys work a bit, and outside was the sun setting over the ocean. Nothing beats the Californian sunsets!

Later that night we met up with some friends and we went to the opening at Casa Romantica cultural center and gardens. They had live music, free wine and cheese, and a art gallery called «I love you, California. The Peter and Gail Ochs collection.»

For me it literally felt like I stepped into a movie. After I’ve watched some of the tv show The O.C. It felt like I was in a scene in that show.

It was a great night, and Casa Romantica is a beautiful place with a lot of history. It was built in 1927 by Ole Hanson, which is also the guy that founded the city San Clemente. (Source)

To be honest, I’m a bit of an outsider when it comes to gatherings like this. Where you smile, but you know theres a lot more going on behind the curtains if you know what I mean. But it’s still an experience. And it makes me very happy that I don’t live like that. Don’t get me wrong, the wine and food was good, and it was a great night.

Right now am I heading out for lunch. And tomorrow are we riding to Mexico!

So stay put and I’ll see you guys soon!
